What makes a helpful tip

• What happened, and when
• Who is affected, such as customers of a company or renters in a certain state
• Any official source we can check, such as a notice, court case number, agency announcement, or company statement

• Please don’t send confidential or sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, account numbers, or medical details.
